This is my "God Spot" blog

Hello, and welcome to my "God Spot" blog. This is a place for me to journal about my relationship with God. It includes bible readings, other books I learn from, songs, thoughts, etc. Just stuff that has to do with my relationship with God. I have read the bible from cover to cover before and want to do it again but this time instead of going straight through from front to back I want to read it in a chronological order so I found a print out to map it out for me. I am a big history buff too so I may add things like maps or recent scientific discoveries, etc. I hope it will be fun, educational and that my relationship with God will be enhanced by it.

Chronological Reading Order

This is a chronological timeline of the Bible.  All dates are approximate.  It's like reading the historical story of the bible.  I will be reading from the NIV bible.  I really love the King James' Poeticness (is that a word?) but the bible I have most of my notes and highlights in is the NIV.  Some people feel that the KJ is the only true bible but if you want to get technical,  the original 'books' were written on scrolls, stone, animal hide, walls, pottery, etc. pieced together by man and than later compiled in a book which was in I think Hebrew and than later translated into the King James version and there is a lot of debate about how much the rulers at different times may have altered some things to fit their needs at the time.  I don't know for sure, that's one of the things I will be researching in my blog as I go along.  Anyways whichever one you choose, here is the order I am going to use.
